McCall Hamilton Advocacy and Public Affairs

AJ Parsons

Assistant Government Affairs Consultant
AJ Parsons

AJ joined McCall Hamilton full-time in 2026 following an internship with the firm. He supports the firm’s legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts by conducting policy research, monitoring and analyzing legislation, assisting with client strategy, as well as drafting reports and other written materials that help advance client priorities across a range of issue areas. His previous work experience includes working with the City of Lansing's Parks and Recreation Department and an internship with State Representative Will Snyder, where he honed skills in constituent relations and legislative research.

AJ’s commitment to serving Michigan is rooted in deep family ties to the state spanning multiple generations. He focuses on policy that helps expand access to oral health, behavioral health, and substance use disorder services. He approaches his work with a calm, analytical demeanor and a strong passion to improve healthcare outcomes for Michiganders.

In his free time AJ can be found spending too much time in bookstores or enjoying the outdoors. During the summer, he frequently visits Frankfort, MI to spend time with family, soak up the sun (and occasionally a sunburn), and explore the surrounding nature. After living in West Michigan during his youth, AJ now calls East Lansing his home.
